Getting Interview Ready

Who this workshop is for: Entrepreneurs who frequently face media interviews, working professionals who are looking to switch their jobs for a better role, mothers making a comeback into work life

Why enroll: Body language, an often ignored subject in India, plays a wide role in the message one is communicating to others, sometimes intentionally but most times without even realizing so.  We teach you how first impressions work, how you can master them, and why signals can break first impressions if not understood in the right frame. We will work on generic body language strategies and also learn to discover our own body language idiosyncrasies. After this we will discuss specific ways to bring amount small changes with large impacts in your communication style.

Getting Interview Ready is a combination of personal coaching and workshop format. We will be working one on one with the participants for mock interviews and conducting a three-hour interactive workshop for all enrolled candidates, with the objective of making interview candidates be in command of their body language – the silent communicator of one’s state of mind. The date and timing is of the workshop. Mock interview timings will be confirmed with participants on a one on one basis.

Time and Date: 3rd September 2017, 11am to 2pm for the workshop. Timings and date for the mock sessions will be co-ordinated with individual participants.

Venue: Simply Body Talk, C223, 2nd Floor, Eastern Business District, LBS Road, Bhandup(W), Mumbai

Giveaways: One mock interview session, participation seat in a 3-hour workshop, certificate of participation, feedback on the mock interview session. Tea and snacks to be provided during the workshop.

Fees: Rs. 2000/- with a 20% discount for registrations before 31st July (We generally charge Rs. 2500-3000 per personal coaching session and Rs. 500- Rs. 1000 for a 3-hour workshop, depending on the content. Since this is an introductory offer in the format of personal coaching plus workshop, it is available at an introductory price.)

ALTERNATIVELY You can just pay and attend the three hour workshop for Rs. 500/-  and decide whether to attend the coaching sessions post the workshop.

Regarding the coaching sessions after the workshop:::

Pre session reads which will be provided to you:

  • How to build a good CV
  • Typical questions asked in an interview

Subject of the interview: This will be customized as per the participant since each one would have different reasons for appearing for the interview. We will be speaking with you on the topic of your choice – admission for higher studies, job switch or promotion, media interview etc.

What you will be expected to do for the mock interview:

  • Send us your final CV after going through the pre session read on building a good CV that we send you
  • Attend the workshop on Getting Interview Ready so that you learn good body language strategies to adopt
  • Come in for the mock interview session at the time and date fixed with us, as per mutual convenience

We will provide you feedback on your mock session which you can work upon so that you get better at your interview taking skills. Another mock interview will be conducted after 15 days to check improvement. Each interview session will last from 15-20 min and the feedback will be another 15-20 min.

About the trainer: Khyati Bhatt will be conducting the workshop and the mock interview. She has undergone training with retired FBI special agent Joe Navarro for mastery in nonverbal communication. Khyati has been writing on the subject of body language since 2013. Her work has been featured in Enterpreneur media, Inc42, FirstPost, Gutshot, etc. She has been working with TIME institute since 2014 to train candidates shortlisted to the premium B-Schools in India for their specialized GWPI workshops as a faculty. Khyati imparts specific body language tips during the mock sessions conducted. She has also been working on consulting assignments with corporates where she provides inputs on interviewed candidates.
